A dedicated writing group for the personal responses to the historical source material and contemporary discussion in the Molly’s Masquerade. We will be exploring themes primarily around sexuality, gender, LGBTQ+ identities and sex work. The writing group this season will be writing material for the devised theatre sessions.
A community of writers, of varying age, experience and identities, helping each other grow as writers and allowing each other to feel safe sharing vulnerable material.
These workshops are a part of the Heritage Lottery and Arts Council England funded project ‘Molly’s Masquearade’ at St. Margaret’s House, Bethnal Green. In memory of our 18th century queer ancestors the sessions will work towards a sharing at the Molly’s Masquerade Spring Gathering on April 1st, and the Molly’s Masquerade ball in summer 2021
DATES:
Fri 5th and 19th Feb
Fri 5th and 19th Mar
Please be aware that this is a 4-session course and participation in all the sessions is very much encouraged.
