This online event, hosted by Rich Mix cinema, is a workshop with Rezia Wahid – a textile artist, educator and curator who specialises in hand weaving.
Rezia was appointed an MBE for her weaving and contributions to Arts in London in 2005. Rezia produces signature works of gossamer-light woven cloths that seek to evoke ‘air’, ‘peace’ and ‘tranquillity’. Her workshops and performances are tailored to engage a wide range of audiences and designed to be environmentally friendly as well as seeking to build bridges to connect and impact. Her work has been described by Denis May as “like an anthology of poetry…”
Although scheduled as an in-house event at Rich Mix Cinema, the new government restrictions have meant that it has been moved to online. This also means that only one ticket per family needs to be purchased.
Children under 10 should have an accompanying adult. This is a family event and all ages welcome.
